The Firm

In 1993, Thierry Lacourte, a graduate of ESSEC business school and a former notary, and Jean-Claude Balas, a graduate of the Ecole Nationale des Impôts and former tax inspector, founded Lacourte Balas & Associés. Joined in 2011 by Jean-Jacques Raquin, former managing partner of a major French law firm with some 30 years of experience and in 2013 by Serge Tatar, Nicolas Jüllich and Renaud Rossa, the firm changed its name to Lacourte Raquin Tatar.

The firm has been constantly growing since its creation, through the motivation of its teams and their constant dedication to delivering a high-quality service.

Beyond their legal expertise, the firm’s teams are fully conversant with their clients’ business sectors as a result of their diverse educational backgrounds and previous professional experience. Thoroughness, responsiveness, team solidarity and a dedication to excellence are amongst the firm’s fundamental values. The partners maintain a high level of involvement in all matters entrusted to the firm.

The overriding objective of the firm is to offer its clients a high-quality service that is adapted to their individual needs.

The growth of the firm is a sign of the satisfaction and loyalty of its clients, including institutional clients and major industrial and financial groups.
